Petrie Plumber covers four main areas of work, from emergency callouts to planned repairs and replacements. Each card below links to the full service list.

When water is pouring through the ceiling or you can smell gas, this is where you start:

The everyday jobs that keep a house working, taps through to gas appliances:

Blocked lines, sewer and stormwater problems, and drain inspections:

Repairs and full replacements when the unit has had enough:
$0 call-out fees, available 24/7, and same-day where we can.

Petrie began as a timber village beside the North Pine River, and the railway arrived in 1888. A paper mill opened in 1957 and town water followed in 1961, and subdivision then climbed the surrounding hills through the 1970s and beyond.
That history shapes every job we do here, because three generations of pipework sit under the one suburb.
Cottages around River Street, Connors Street and Station Street predate the town water scheme, and any original supply pipework still lurking under those floors was run in the days of rainwater tanks, which makes galvanised steel a fair bet rather than copper or poly.
Detached family houses from the 1970s to 1990s fill most of the suburb, and the last census counted 3,148 dwellings. Those houses carry the fittings and appliances of their era, now well worn.
Units fitted during that growth have been swapped once or twice already, and in a solar-heavy district the roof collectors, anodes and tempering valves wear out in step with the cylinders.

Plumbing emergency happening now? Start here:

Working out which page fits your problem takes one minute once you know what sits under each heading.
Burst pipes, overflowing toilets, no hot water and gas smells are the jobs that cannot wait, and our emergency plumbing pages start with the make-safe steps you can take while you wait for a plumber.
Taps, toilets, bathrooms, kitchens and gas fitting are the backbone of our run, the booked jobs where parts can be ordered and the work planned properly. Start at plumbing.
With earthenware house drains still serving the village grid, blocked lines are a recurring fact of life here. Our drainage pages cover clearing, inspections and what the different pipes do.
Between ageing cylinders in the growth belt and solar circuits on older roofs, hot water work is as often a replacement as a repair. The hot water pages explain both paths.

The older streets run down a hillside of phyllite and slate toward the water, so the lowest lot on each street ends the gravity run and feels a downstream blockage first. The flats below have their own issues.
Council plans treat the river parks, Sweeney's Reserve and Wyllie Park among them, as high-risk for flooding, and mark a broader planning overlay across the station, the university campus and streets out west including Kirri Avenue and Washbrook Crescent.
Rain averages 1,134 mm a year here, and when summer storms run off the hills, the lowest gully traps on the flats can belch stormwater back into yards and garages.
The Sweeney family shifted their reserve house after floods in 1927 and 1931, and the 2011 flood damaged the Gympie Road river bridge, which was replaced in 2012. Water has long memories here, and so do the drains.

Every job in Petrie comes with $0 call-out fees, and there's no extra charge for nights, weekends or public holidays.
Our Fix-It-or-It's-Free guarantee stands behind the work (T&Cs apply), and if we're late, $100 comes off your bill.
Every job is done by a licensed plumber under QBCC No: 15024607, and our labour carries a lifetime labour warranty.
A locally owned and operated business, licensed and insured, with flat-rate pricing.
From the first phone call to the last fitting tightened, you are dealing with the same team throughout.

No two plumbing jobs cost the same, and we will not pretend yours does. What moves a price is access, parts and time.
A tap washer swap at a Dayboro Road cottage is a smaller job than renewing a galvanised supply line under a pre-1961 floor, because getting to the pipe is half the work.
Clearing an old earthenware drain near the station takes longer than clearing newer PVC, and the condition of the line changes what the fix involves.
The quote you receive reflects the real work on your property, and you see it before anyone picks up a tool.
Our regular run covers the suburbs on either side of the river and its creeks, all close by and all on the same route. To book a visit, the contact page has the details.
